Matt Moseley is a communication strategist, author, speaker, and world record open water adventure swimmer. He is the principal and CEO of the Ignition Strategy Group, which specializes in high-stakes communications and issue management.

He has written four books, including Dear Dr. Thompson: Felony Murder, Hunter S. Thompson and the Last Gonzo Campaign, about the Lisl Auman case. He was hired by Johnny Depp as the communications director and family spokesperson for the author’s funeral and ash blast.

He has completed five first-ever record adventure swims and is the subject of the documentary Dancing in the Water about his 25-mile swim across Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans, where David Amram played music through the night alongside on the support boat.

He is a member of the President’s National Council for American Rivers and serves on the Advisory Board of the Center for Leadership at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He lives in Boulder, Colorado.
