Karen Fabiane, born in NYC, slept along the edges of the Manhattan downtown scene during the 1970s, making music, writing & performing poetry, and painting. Her poems have been published in small press journals, including 2, Bound, CAPS 2020, Coal, Downtown, Heroin Love Songs, Home Planet News, MisFit, Momoware, New Voices, Newsletter Inago, OM, RagShock and Salonika, as well as anthologies released by Bright Hill and Moonstone Press. She has also released two chapbooks, Dancing Bears (2011) and Seeing You Again (2014); and a full-length collection, Between Canal & Ida (2022). Her paintings have been exhibited in Seattle, New York City, Washington, DC, and the Capital District of New York (Albany environs) since 1978.
