Frank Messina is one of the most widely recognized poets in America. He’s also a prolific artist and film actor.

Frank’s authored four books of poetry including the best-sellers Disorderly Conduct and Full Count: The Book of Mets Poetry.

His work has appeared in The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, on BBC and PBS.

Frank has collaborated and shared the stage with legendary jazz and rock musicians, including David Amram, Cecil Taylor, John Popper, and members of the Grateful Dead, Phish and Sonic Youth.

Frank’s original hand-written journal containing the drafts of his most famous poem, Bicycle, and other 9/11-related poems, was accessioned into the permanent collection of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York City.

As an actor, Messina appeared in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire in a recurring role as bodyguard to Al Capone and a principal role in Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman.

Messina is also a painter. His large abstract paintings hang in private collections around the world.
