Annie Jane-Wilder, Lifetime Beat Poet Laureate of Colorado and New York. Hundred-word bio at age 75.
Only 25 years short of a word per year. At 15, Annie wrote poetry on the walls of her room. Later, underground presses during the 1960s and 1970s. She wrote various styles: flash fiction, word and image, free verse, and run-on verses. She progressed with practice. A few chapbooks were published by various presses (first) Bright Hill Press. Sober, drunk, reading in people’s trailers, on mountains at Flaushink. Maybe people listened. She edited. She sang poems (with brother). She still writes, skis, breathes.
